Fourteen neighbors walked from my house in Thunder Hill to Sapwood Cellars. The distance is slightly more than .5 miles along a Columbia path to the Orchard Green tot lot, through a gap in the fence, jaywalking across MD 108, and crossing the Wells Fargo parking lot.

My walk to Sapwood Cellars takes 11 minutes. That is, if I jaywalk across MD Route 108. If I use the only Route 108 crosswalk for my neighborhood, it would be about a half hour walk, at least. Tomorrow around 1:00 PM, some of my neighbors will join me on my 11-minute walk to Sapwood. I’ll post more about this neighborhood adventure in a future post.
