Just a few of us stopped by Frisco Tap House for Union Craft Brewing pint night. I ordered a Union Birthday Cake (Cask), a very sweet black lager. I may be the only one in the group who liked it. It was perhaps a bit too sweet but I liked the malt and vanilla flavors.

It looks like Frisco Tap House will have a dedicated Wicked Weed tap from now on. Frisco is the only place outside of North Carolina to join the Wicked Weed Funk Family. Tonight is the Wicked Weed Funk Family Celebration from 5-7PM. (Feb. 22nd, 2019).

On a pint night at Frisco Tap House, Keith, the manager, posed a question. He wondered if any of us would be interested in participating in a bottle night? Sort of like a tap takeover only using bottles instead of kegs. He suggested making some of the Eclipse bottles for this hypothetical night.

Thunder Hill Neighborhood, Oakland Mills Village, Columbia, MD January 26, 2019
Fourteen neighbors walked from my house in Thunder Hill to Sapwood Cellars. The distance is slightly more than .5 miles along a Columbia path to the Orchard Green tot lot, through a gap in the fence, jaywalking across MD 108, and crossing the Wells Fargo parking lot.

My walk to Sapwood Cellars takes 11 minutes. That is, if I jaywalk across MD Route 108. If I use the only Route 108 crosswalk for my neighborhood, it would be about a half hour walk, at least. Tomorrow around 1:00 PM, some of my neighbors will join me on my 11-minute walk to Sapwood. I’ll post more about this neighborhood adventure in a future post.
