With a heavy heart, I announce that the Second Chance Saloon, my beloved neighborhood watering hole, will be closing on October 11th, 2020. The closing of this 12-year Oakland Mills institution will leave an enormous hole in our neighborhood.
“Sadly, I must announce that the time has come. After 12 amazingly eventful years, 2nd Chance Saloon will be closing to the public on October 11, 2020. (10/10/20 is our final night, so please come by!) It has been very hard to come to this decision, but Declan, Wendy and I will not be renewing our lease. We all appreciate your continued patronage so very much and are so very sorry to see the business we created go. Please take this opportunity to come say goodbye to us and the staff. We will still be continuing business and entertainment as usual until close. Stay tuned for our “Last Holiday” get togethers for the next couple weeks. Don’t ever forget us, because we won’t forget you! Thanks again to every one who has stuck by our side through the good and the bad times! Thank you to all the entertainers weve had here, without you this place wouldn’t always be so energetic! And a VERY special thanks to each and every staff member we have employed over the years, you guys were truly the heart and soul of this place! We will miss y’all dearly! “

So sorry to see our local dive bar close but it’s good to see the return of Warren’s Beer Adventures.
Truly the darkest timeline.
Here’s to one day having a 3rd Chance Saloon…
Amen…maybe “Any Chance” since “Last Chance” has already been used.
