I’m back. I brought home a very bad cold from Vegas (not Covid-19) and have been laying low for the past week or so. Aside from my usual spring allergies, I’m now fully recovered. I hope you all are also healthy and stay that way.
With all the restaurants and bars closed, I’ve tried supporting my local hangouts by ordering take-out from 2nd Chance Saloon and Sapwood Cellars.
Below are a few craft beer reads for this say-at-home weekend. Enjoy.
The Baltimore Sun, What are the top beers in Baltimore? We tried local breweries’ picks to find out. An interesting list. When the breweries reopen, I’ll have to try some of the ones new to me, like Divine from Union.
2020 Maryland Craft Beer Festival Update I’m usually a last minute planner. But this year, Jim and I were on top of our game; we bought festival tickets and had a place to stay in Frederick. It figures that this was the year it was postponed (or maybe even cancelled.) Curse you, Covid-19!
Food and Wine, Untappd Makes It Easier to Support Bars and Breweries During COVID-19. What a great idea! Gregslist is not up-to-date but you can update those places that offer pickup or delivery. I know both Sapwood and 2nd Chance offer pickup but are not listed.
Thrillist, You Can Order Mixed Packs of Beer Not Usually Available in Your State. What a cool idea. I’ll have to give it a try.
Cheers!
