Just a half hour drive from Columbia, MD to Silver Spring is the Silver Branch Brewery.
I found inexpensive public parking a couple blocks from the brewery. The space is open and welcoming, serving pub food and exceptional beer.
We tried a few beers on tap and shared them among us. I loved the chocolatey Chronicle Stout with coffee and African cocoa flavors. The Metro Gnome is a holiday saison with subtle spices and saison esters – I would definitely get this one again. The Barrel-Aged Chronicle Stout is aged in Sagamore rye barrels and a fine beer if you like rye, which I don’t, but all my rye-loving friends enjoyed it.
The sausage and pretzel sandwich hit the spot. The two pretzels with fancy mustard was also worth a taste.
The Silver Branch Brewery has been open for about a year. It is located on 8401 Colesville Rd #150, Silver Spring, MD. Heading south on US-29, I made a right on 2nd Ave and it’s on the left. Make a right on Cameron for public parking.
Cheers!

That’s a fun brewery! Great location if you like to bar hop.
I’ll be going to Silver Spring for the Love Thy Beer event. I’ll try to check this place out then.
