As a craft beer enthusiast, I have an unusual problem. I have more beer than storage space.

I realize this is a nice problem to have. And I want no sympathy. But, before the pity parties begin, let me explain. I love to throw parties. Besides seeing friends and family, parties are a great opportunity to empty my beer fridge. You see, over the year, people often give me beer, and I make beer and occasionally I buy beer. For me, having a beer with friends is fun but I rarely will drink a beer alone. So, the fridge and basement accumulate beer, until I can manage to throw a party. Then, I’ll fill up my Founders cooler with beer and hope my guests make a dent in my beer supply.

As you can see, my craft beer friends have picked through the beers leaving the pseudo craft beers, i.e. Woodchuck Cider, Heineken, Natty Boh, Leinenkugel, etc. This holiday I’ll continue striving to deplete my ever-growing supply of ales and lagers.

If I do not empty my supply of beers by the New Year, perhaps I’ll follow Jim’s suggest and have a fridge purging beer bash.
