The spring harvest is coming in in abundance. After a beautiful May, I’m hoping spring will linger through June. I plan on visiting the garden today on this deliciously cool morning and encourage you to get outside as well. When you find a quiet moment, curl up with your favorite beverage and enjoy a few craft beer reads that I’ve found for you.
VinePair, The Hard-Working Irish Laborers Who Drank 14 Pints of Beer a Day. Two gallons of beer a day? I can’t imagine.
2019 Manor Hill Farm Fest, Saturday, June 22nd from 1-5 PM. Mark your calendars.
Brewed in Maryland, Memorial Day. This should have been posted last week but I was busy in Philadelphia doing “research”.
NPR, The Salt; Beer Archaeologists Are Reviving Ancient Ales — With Some Strange Results. I’ve sampled a few of Dogfish Head’s Ancient Ales and enjoyed most, except the pre-chewed chicha.
Cheers!
