I’m a huge fan of Garrett Oliver, the brewmaster of the Brooklyn Brewery. Perhaps my favorite homebrew I have ever made is a clone of his Black Chocolate Stout; I call it Bourbon Barrel Black. And his book, The Brewmaster’s Table, may be my number one beer reference guide. So when I happened across this Epicurious YouTube video with Garrett Oliver, I had to share.
In his 26-minute video, Mr. Oliver blind-tastes several styles of beers. He guesses which beer is more expensive from pairs of pilsner, Belgian White, IPA, Munich Dark Lager, barrel-aged and fruit sour beers. I learned a lot from his dialog and tasting technique.
