It’s official, thanks to the Beer Diet, Mrs. Adventures and I are headed to the Bahamas for 5 days!
Specifically, we’ll be staying at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas. This island resort has 6 pools, beach access, spas, 20 bars and restaurants, and more. Temperatures should stay between 60℉ and 80℉. In fact, the Bahamas has never recorded a frost. This sounds like heaven for our first visit to the Caribbean.
This is how I got here. Back on September 1st, I began the Beer Diet. It allows me to continue drinking beer, as long as I manage to lose a pound a week. Each Saturday, my weigh-in determined whether beer was in my future for the following week. During my weight loss journey, I only experienced 1 week of beer-free living. Below is a graph recording the Beer Diet experience.
I hit my goal weight (200 lbs.) just before Thanksgiving. I did this by weighing myself eac day and logging my weight and food intake into the app, Lose It!, every day. I had a little hiccup with the Thanksgiving festivities and the 3rd Annual Columbia Pub Crawl where I put on a few pounds. I’m back down below 200 now, though.
I am now on a modified Beer Diet, where I need to maintain a weight below 200 lbs. I’ll still weigh-in on Saturdays and log my food but my calorie intake allows another 500 calories (that’s 2 more beers!) per day.
