I learned today is National Drink Beer Day. This made-up holiday is just an excuse to drink beer. So, tonight I bought a 6-pack of Reckless Aleworks Illustrious Buddha and discovered it’s a terrific NEIPA. 

Also this week, the Columbia Pint Night Crew stopped by Frisco Tap House for Lagunitas Pint Night. As an added bonus, a Lagunitas beach chair was being raffled off that night. None of the Crew won the beach chair but I was a winner when I ordered a Lagunitas Brown Sugga’, an amazing Barleywine. Sadly, the group has been winless for many weeks now.

I finished off the night with a Schlafly Pumpkin Ale. I’m a pumpkin ale fan and each year, this is hard to pronounce brewery makes one of the best. Consider this a warm-up to October 3rd’s Punktoberfest. Frisco will have many pumpkin and Oktoberfest ales for this annual event.
