After a brief couple of days tent camping, it is nice to have A/C and a firm bed. I’ve found a few beer reads for you.
I’ll be honest, I’m not sure why 7 Beers Perfect for Camping are “camping” beers but any brewery list that includes Firestone, Victory and Duck Rabbit is worth a read. BTW, I am not endorsing drinking beer in Maryland’s parks; MD prohibits drinking alcohol in all their parks.
Free beer is always click bait so I was a sucker for This App Offers Free Beer Just for Rating Breweries. Just as a warning, the app is in beta and not readily available until October 15th. Also, it is limited to only 4 breweries a month at a discount of $2 per brewery. That’s $8, a lot of effort for about 1 free beer.
Mark your calendars! on Aug. 25th between 6 and 9 p.m., Revive! a food and beer fest will be held here in Howard County, just outside of Ellicott City. Thanks to alert reader, Jack, for forwarding this article.
I dedicate this article to my sour friends: Pierce, dBear, Spencer, and The Fermentationist – This Beer Was Made in the Flatbed of a 1984 El Camino Conquista. dBear, you will notice that Motorworks Brewing made this unique beer. I just met Spencer (Sapwood Cellar’s future frontman) at Allview Liquors yesterday. Speaking of sours, here’s the July update on Sapwood Cellar’s road to opening.
Cheers!
