Comptroller Peter Franchot introduced The Reform on Tap Act of 2018, A World Without Limits. This proposed bill attempts to overturn years of dysfunctional Maryland beer legislation, including HB1283. As the Comptroller envisions, enacting the Act’s 12 provisions will “elevate Maryland’s position in the craft beer industry from last in the region to first in the nation”. Happy Thanksgiving!
I saw this article and had to share. Mr. Money Mustache retired in his early 30s and wrote a blog about it. I’ve been following him for quite a few years. We have a few things in common. We’re both retired, we both ride bikes and we both brew and drink beer. His latest post covers his “undercover” Uber driving. As a beer drinker who relies on Uber/Lyft from time to time, his Mr. Money Mustache, UBER Driver, I found it an interesting peek into the Uber world.

We walked into the Bull and Goat Brewery and were greeted with open arms. By the end of the evening, people were actually reading aloud from my blog while at the bar. One couple even offered me a place to stay at their house during the next beer festival. Friendly, fun people, plenty of games and tasty beer – I think I’ve found my “Cheers” bar. Adam Frey is a frustrated man. He has not brewed a beer for quite a while. Most of his energy has been directed towards running his 126-acre farm and haggling with Frederick County officials. Adam has been trying to convert his barn into a tasting room since January of 2017. Now, in November, Frederick County is still erecting bureaucratic roadblocks to building his tasting room.
