For me, its been a week preparing for winter. I’ve been putting my garden to bed, transplanting perennials to new garden beds and cleaning up the yard. And of course, attending Frisco’s Punktoberfest 6, with all that delicious pumpkin beer! Despite hearing that pumpkin beer is no longer in vogue, I still love it! 

So, in celebration of the weekend, sit down, prop up your feet and check out these beer reads.

The other day, I met Inky the cat at Diamondback Brewery. The Baltimore Sun reintroduces us to this hard-working cat – ‘Working Cats’ program gives hard-to-adopt felines jobs at Baltimore businesses.

Maryland has a new brewery – Guinness – and the craft brewers greet them. Wesley Case, of the Baltimore Sun, announces Guinness brewery ‘test taproom’ to open Friday in Baltimore County.

Just to get out of the local beer world, Food & Wine instructs us “How to Order a Beer All Over the World”.
