Kennebunkport, ME
Google told us it would only take 2 hours to reach Portland from Concord, Mass but the holiday traffic added another hour. We were hungry so we stopped in the quaint town of Kennebunkport, Maine. It was filled with vacationing tourist, but we managed to find parking and an inviting restaurant — Alisson’s.
Alisson’s is a big restaurant with beautiful hardwood floors right in the middle of downtown Kennebunkport. It was our first stop in Maine, so almost everyone ordered the highly acclaimed lobster roll; everyone, except me, who ordered the lobster Cobb salad. All the meals were delicious and the Maine beers were fun.
Pablo ordered a Shipyard, since he had done a little business with Kennebunkport Brewing. I ordered an Oxbow Loretta mostly because Zach from Hysteria had recommended the brewery. Loretta is a grissette which I found surprisingly hoppy for the beer style.
We left Kennebunkport without any Bush sightings but hope to visit this charming seaside town again some day.
Cheers!
