Today we honor one of our own. Clad in our Frisco Mug Club T-shirts, we celebrate a historic event. After years of visiting Frisco to sample world-class stouts, porters, sours and the occasional IPA, Dennis has tasted his 99th unique beer. Now we join with him in the sacred ritual of shotgunning a National Bohemian beer – Natty Boh to the Marylander in all of us.
And the Frisco Tap House has a special way to shotgun that 100th unique beer – from a bottle using a specially crafted straw. I’m not really sure how it works. It’s Frisco magic. I will demonstrate my lack of guzzling skills by pouring lots of Natty Boh all over my chest and onto Mr. Scratchy. Mr. Scratchy is my beloved Mug Club T-shirt. After many washings, he is no longer scratchy, but the name sticks.
Dennis also has a big birthday coming up, so this is truly a special occasion. Cupcakes and a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday are in order. Top it all off with the featured brewer, Baltimore’s own Oliver Brewing Company and you get a pretty good time. We look forward to their English-style beers. There is a special place in my heart for their luscious Speed of Darkness, an Imperial Stout.
Cheers!
Warren
