DC Brau glass & mug of Corruption

DC Brau at Frisco

The Pint Night crew stopped by the Frisco Tap House for our weekly fix of ale, pub food, and conversation. The featured brewery was Washington, D.C.’s own DC BrauEstablished in 2009, DC Brau is the District’s first production brewery in 50 years. As you would expect from a brewery in the nation’s capitol,  many of their ales have names with a political bent such as The Corruption, The Public, and The Citizen.

I sampled DC’s aptly named The Corruption, enjoying their piney IPA. The very smoky Penn Quarter Porter was a big hit with many of the Pint Night crew. The Brau Pils tasted a lot like the classic Pilsner Urquell.

Over beers and our “free” DC Brau pint glasses (which are shaped like cans), the topics of discussion ranged from the prospects of this year’s Orioles (one of our Pint Night crew is a newly ordained Oriole usher), next Sunday’s tapping of Green Flash’s Palate Wrecker, Harry Potter, Apple vs Windows and travel to Michigan, Portland, Oregon and Lancaster. Sorry, I’ll be in Lancaster and will miss next week’s Pint Night.

As some of my attentive readers know, I recently proved that laptops and water do not mix. For those of you happy for the slowdown in my posts, I have bad news. The laptop is back and my fingers are flying.

Cheers!

Warren
