Friends Marc and Cathy invited us to our local watering hole, the Second Chance Saloon, to see their neighbor perform. Bruce Casteel, a long-time music teacher, was performing Irish music from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. St Paddy’s Day at the local pub plus local talent — how could we say no?
The place was packed, so we hung at the bar until a table was free. We waited almost a half hour. Normally I hate long waits, but seeing our neighborhood bar bustling was worth the wait. Plus they handed out green jello shots to those waiting!
Like most of the U.S. on St. Patrick’s Day, I was Irish for a few hours – enjoying Guinness Stout, listening to Irish music and eating Shepherd’s Pie.
Cheers!

Erin go bragh!!!
Ireland Forever or for me – Irish for a couple hours.
It was indeed very lively and very green. Great time hanging with the O’Wortmans.
And the O’Kleins!
