Brooklyn Pint Night
It’s Wednesday night, so it must be pint night at Frisco Tap house. Tonight’s brewery is the amazing Brooklyn. The place is packed tonight, probably because the luscious Brooklyn Black Ops is on tap. This velvety smooth Russian Imperial Stout is a complex beer with bourbon and chocolate flavors. It is rare and delicious!
We filled up several tables. We sat in the back near the fish tank. Part of our contingent will be headed to Florida for a few days to watch the Orioles in spring training. We will be without them next week.
The Beers
Here are some of the beers I tasted:
- Black Ops – wow!
- Black Chocolate Stout – I love the cocoa and coffee taste. I actually made a clone of
this beer, then stored it in my bourbon barrel for a few days. It is my favorite homebrew. Brooklyn’s version is scrumptious!
- Brooklyn Sorachi Ace – A peppery farmhouse/saison. I really like the complex flavors and taste.
- Bel Air Sour – We’re not sure about the name, so we decided to order it in honor of John’s hometown of Bel Air, MD. This is a fruity tart sour. I liked the sweet and sour with a mild hop finish. The souring agent used is lactobacillus – check out my sour post about that sour milk inducing yeast.
Well, thanks for your patience while my laptop is being repaired. Both the screen and keyboard need replacing. Until then, my posts may be limited.
Cheers!
